My SAR is printing with zeroes or blanks on it. What do I do?
The SAR is a very good double check on the proper completion of the 5500 series. Please be sure that you have completed the appropriate schedule (Schedule H or I), have answered 9a and 9b on the 5500 appropriately and have checked the appropriate schedules on page 3 of the 5500. When you open the SAR to process it, be sure you have appropriately told the system if the plan you are working on is a big plan, small plan or a welfare benefit plan. This will ensure that your SAR processing goes smoothly.
