I just installed PR/Win 1.01 or later and get a "Error 430" message when I start the system
This error is a result of the Microsoft Data Access Components not being correctly installed. This can be corrected by the following procedure:
(If this is a Windows NT, 2000, or XP machine then be sure to login with Administrator rights.)
With the PR/WIN CD in the CD-ROM drive click on START | PROGRAMS | WINDOWS EXPLORER.
In Windows Explorer look for the drive listed with PR101. Navigate PR101 to the SHARED folder. Double-click on the file MDAC_TYP25.EXE. This will start the setup program for Microsoft Data Access Components. Once this is finished reboot your machine. Once the machine comes back up you should be able to run Pension Reporter.
[Added 11/12/2000] PR/Win version 1.01 and later requires that Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 3.02 or later be installed on the workstation. Windows 95 OSR2 and later include IE, so this will generally not be a problem. However, if you have the original release of Windows 95, installation of IE may be required before installation of PR/Win. If you are uncertain what version of Internet Explorer is installed on your machine, launch IE and select Help | About from the menu.
Internet Explorer is provided in the \Extras directory of the PR/Win CD.
