I don't like how the 5500-series forms look when they are printed. Can I change it?
The 5500-series forms are printed by a component supplied by the DOL's EFAST group. They control font sizes, weights, density, etc., and we have no control over those items. Be aware that forms printed on different makes and models of printers may look different, and this is normal.
Likewise, we have no control over things like the number of decimal places, whether commas are used, the format of phone numbers, enrollment numbers, or where dashes are used. For 2000 Plan Year forms, commas are not used for numbers less that 1,000,000. Also, dashes have been removed from SSNs and EINs on some forms.
