What's that big black blob at the bottom of the 5500-series forms?
That's the 2-Dimensional barcode that contains all of the information you entered on the form. It also contains DATAIR's EFAST approval number. This is a part of all DOL EFAST forms and it enables them to scan the data from your filing accurately. Below the 2-D barcode is a more conventional one-dimensional barcode that identifies the form and page to the DOL.
